The origin of Leclercville dates back to the concession of the seigneury of Lotbinière to René-Louis Chartier, between 1672 and 1693. It was however only around 1720 that the first families came to settle between the two rivers of the Oak! The Blue Route
The Blue Route Quebec / Chaudière-Appalaches is part of an innovative project to set up the Sentier maritime du Saint-Laurent, a project divided into regional sections called Blue Routes. Sponsored by Canot Kayak Québec (new name of the Fédération québécoise du canot et du kayak), the Route bleue Québec / Chaudière-Appalaches makes more than 300 of 2,500 accessible to small boats with a low draft mainly sea kayaks kilometers of waterways planned for the St. Lawrence Seaway.
